A collection of tales centered around the fairie court of Prince Prigio of Pantouflia by Andrew Lang, the fairytale taste-maker of late 19th and early 20th century British nurseries. 8.5'' x 6''. Early 20th century quarter vellum, black goatskin spine label, blue cloth boards stamped WEST END SCHOOL / BEESTON / VERITAS SINE TIMORE / 1908. Lavishly illustrated by Dixon with 12 color plates and color pictorial boards on every page of text, printed on coated paper. 112 pages. Interior bright.
