An allegorical fantasy reminiscent of William Morris crossed with George MacDonald, a fascinating read. Contains 15 lovely illustrations. Quarter bound in linen, ornate gold titling. Published by William Blackwood & Sons, London, 1914. One of my favorite books, completely unlike anything else written but with beautiful and surreal imagery. A real treasure and a lovely copy.

...So he heard Hyperenor and was content and looked upward to the stars; and he beheld their aspect such as with his eyes he never yet beheld it.
